• Create a certain feel or style for your special day..Taking samples of invitations, pictures of dresses or cakes you admire to a consultation can help a baker design a cake to fit your wedding perfectly.
• Taste It!.. Make sure that the quality is one you will be proud to serve to your guests. Ask if cakes are baked fresh and not frozen.
• Trust yourself.. Trust your instincts and choose a baker that makes you feel great about your cake and confident about their ability to deliver exactly what you've dreamed of.

Lastly, if you're planning to take your cake in to your reception, see if they charge a cake cutting fee.

There is usually a fee added per slice, per attendee. This fee can sometimes add up quickly.
